On 26 April 2016 Bolikhamxay's Planning and Investment Department and Khamphay Sana Construction Group signed an MOU to study developing Don Lin island, Phonxay village, Pakxan district, into a tourism destination with an artificial beach, hotel, resort and restaurants. The study was to take one year, fully funded by the company.
