IT Support Officer

Job Objective

Manage, maintain, install and troubleshoot the company’s computer systems, network, IT equipment, software and IT infrastructure so that they run continuously, efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities

User Support & Helpdesk

• Help, advise and resolve IT issues (hardware, software, network) for staff across the organisation.
• Receive and log IT tickets, and follow each one through to resolution within the agreed time.

Hardware & Software Maintenance

• Install, configure and update operating systems (Windows/macOS) and applications (MS Office, antivirus and others).
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repair IT equipment such as PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, projectors and peripherals.
• Maintain the company’s IT asset inventory.

Network & Security

• Look after and check the local network (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, IP phones).
• Manage system access: create user accounts (email, Active Directory, domain) for new staff and revoke access for leavers.
• Run scheduled data backups and check antivirus protection.

Other Duties

• Work with vendors and suppliers on IT purchases, repairs and warranty claims.
• Write basic IT user guides and train new staff on equipment and systems.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the head of department.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: At least 1–2 years in IT Support, Helpdesk or System Administration (fresh graduates with strong skills are welcome).
• Confident with Windows and Microsoft 365, able to assemble PCs and install software, and familiar with networking basics (IP, LAN, Wi-Fi).
• Patient and polite, and able to explain technical issues in plain language.
